March 29, 2015
As life would have it I have been caught up in a lot of work lately. Though I could do better with posting on this blog as my daily journal I do plan on writing the posts for the dates of March 27-28th of this year so that way I don't lose track of time and progress. Lately I have been trying to create a regiment for myself to mentally prepare myself for the challenges that will be coming ahead. Through tedious studying and hard work I have been able to manage to retain my Mathmatical skill set despite not being able to get past simple Trigonometry on a transcript. Though I have the knowledge of the laws of Trigonometry burned into my brain, my brain is somewhat similar to that of a hard drive. My short-term memory fails me when it comes time to put the knowledge I have of Trigonometry to practical use. So to counter this effort in the near future I have been relentlessly studying the laws and theorems behind the subject of Trigonometry.
Though I must give myself some credit for somehow creating a paradigm in which I am able to understand formulas even up to the more advance topics of logorithmic bases and the natural base. This makes my understanding even greater as the applications of these laws that were set by people long dead to us now are so great that they have been applied to greater heights as time moves forward. I believe that the whole field in which I study, Computer Science, is to be used to better the fields of Mathematics to greater heights. I once had a teacher who so firmly believed that technology can be used to better the fields of not only Mathematics but to all fields of study. His name is Eric Schulz who gave me advice every now and then when it came to his class which I took at Walla Walla Community College. At that time, if my memory serves me correctly, the year was 2011 and Walla Walla Community College otherwise known by the locals as WWCC gained the award of best community college in the nation.
I was at that time very proud that I was gaining an education with individuals who actually care about bettering the community they lived in through the means of education. Over the years I believe here in America we have simply put the Education Sector on the bench while showing off our guns via the Military. Sure brute force can suffice for only so long but the person who is smart enough to realize that every force comes and equal and opposite reaction which I believe are Newtons Law of Equivalancy in the field of Physics. (Note: I am obviously not a physicist) Though my point being that if we take a brief history of how humanity itself counters brute force it's common foe being wisdom has always been there. We definitely see it in the machinery that we have created to kill humans more efficiently the first in the 21st century being the Atomic Bomb to current day in which we have created machines such as drones to kill rather than actual human beings doing the killing. This topic has stirred up the Veteran community quite a bit considering someone like myself can simply navigate a drone from his home in a similar fashion to how I'm typing this blog and kill a person being awarded the same awards that are given to actual soldiers that fight on the ground.
The answer to whether or not someone deserves that award should be left up to the military but as commonplace here in America we like it when we don't have to work as hard as we did the day before so more than likely this ruling will not change at all due to laziness within the American military itself. This will lead to a somewhat cocky attitude that we have seemingly created for ourselves being thrown into the dirt like we are currently in our conflicts and interventions in Vietnam and the Middle East. It will be only a matter of time in which we as the American people will come to realize that we are not longer the best but when that time comes I'll be ready to defend myself and my country using both my mind and physique if need be. I would hate to have to answer the call to defend my country because I believe my talents are best suited helping the people of our country strive to be the best they can be with the use of technology.
I'll end that topic here with that little bit of political banter, my personal beliefs are somewhat a conflict to myself and those around me. Most label me as a Liberal but I'd rather take the title of an American citizen trying to make America number one again. To do this I have to humble myself and remember that everyday has a lesson to be learned. Today I learned that my brain has development a greater sense for the Mathematics through my struggles in the field of Computer Science being a result of my lack of knowledge in the field of Mathematics. Though I do enjoy playing a game in which I have to be challenged everyday to be better and that's what I love about the field of Computer Science, because no matter how much knowledge I fill my brain with it will never surmount to anything because I can't learn every little detail about the field in my lifetime. Knowing this makes the whole idea of getting an education worth it because no matter how well educated I am, I will never know all the answers to everything nor should that be my goal. My goal is to gain all the knowledge I need to complete each given job and task presented before me in a time efficient matter of O (log n). That's the formula which I strive to attain in all my efforts as a programmer and human being in total because who doesn't like progress and seeing the results of that said progress.
I have officially registered for classes at the Spokane Falls Community College making the leap from a 4 year institution to a 2 year has never really been an issue for me. After all I'll be attaining better knowledge and understanding of Mathematics and hopefully Physics in the near future because the education at a 2 year institution is far better in quality than at a four year institution due to the simple fact of teachers who actually want to better themselves and the community through education. This in comparison to all the idiots who refuse to change or adapt to the newer age because of being on tenure and believing they are untouchable makes me quite annoyed that we as a country have allowed this to come into fruition.
